Marion has been a part of the Shine community for some time. She is a vivacious 94 years young and is committed to keeping fit and mobile.
"I come to the Shine three times a week for classes. We do both seated and standing exercises It’s very important to keep moving as you get older.’
The Shine exercise classes are quite popular with clients. The environment is comfortable, and a lot of the faces are familiar.
The classes are conducted by instructors who tailor their program to suit client’s needs. Our transport service collects people from their homes and drops them home – generally after a well-deserved morning tea!
Marion enjoys the social element Shine offers, being a regular, she is well known by staff and other clients. Marion grew up on a farm in Narrogin and then she and her husband raised their family on a farm in Kojanup. When she made the move to Perth, she was quite proactive in finding ways to be social.
‘If I can fit it in, I also like to go on the monthly bus outings organised by Shine – it is a good way to get out and meet some new people’.
Marion is still active member of the 2nd - second machine gun battalion family group and enjoys watching her sports.
